How The Disc Filter Housing Works
Disc filter is also called as stacked filter, the filter shell is made of polyamide composite glass fiber with one-time injection molding, and both sides of the stack are crossed with special grooves to play the role of filtration.
The water outlet direction of the skeleton inside the stack is tangential to the inner circle of the stack, which forms the centrifugal force of the water flow well and makes the filter more effective in discharging the dirt when backwashing.
The filtration precision of the stack is divided into 5μm, 10μm, 20μm, 50μm, 100μm and 200μm. one shell of the disc filter is a filtration unit, and the shell unit is divided into three specifications of 2 inches, 3 inches and 4 inches according to the size.
Each disc filter system is a combination of several disc filters in parallel, and the number of filter combinations is determined according to the raw water quality and flow rate.

Disc Filter Housing FAQ
Raw water quality classification (to ensure the normal operation of the system, the system design should ensure that the backwash time difference is not less than 1 hour):
–Excellent water quality: city tap water, well water extracted from stable aquifers
–General water quality: circulating cooling water, ground water treated by sedimentation, after effective sedimentation and complete biochemical treatment of drainage
–Poor water quality: groundwater extracted from aquifers with poor water quality, drainage water with effective sedimentation but without or with poor biochemical treatment, groundwater with a large number of microbial colonies
–Very poor water quality: water extracted from very dirty or iron and manganese rich wells, surface water affected by flooding and without sedimentation, drainage without sedimentation and biochemical treatment
- Filtration hydraulic backflush: use the own pressure of the filtrate to backflush, requiring the pressure of the filtrate to be greater than 2.8 kg
- Air-assisted backflush, using 4.5-6 bar air to drive the backflush of the filtrate, with an air flow rate of about 300 L/M/SPINE
- Exogenous backwash, using a pump to drive the backwash liquid backwash (can be filtrate, can be other sources of clean liquid), the pump pressure is more than 3.5 bar, the flow rate is every 10T/H/SPINE
- Air-assisted exogenous backwash, using 4.5-6 bar air to drive the backwash of other sources of clean liquid
